Just to make sure the lyrics aren't wildly miss-interpreted, this isn't a song about parent/child angst. This song is about how I believe my parents and role models aren't responsible for what I think, because I have the opportunity to make up my own mind. People try to blame video games and celebrities for teen behavior, but it is really up to us what we do.
It is also about how I personally choose what I act like and who I become based on what I want to be. Not because of what others think I should be. I tired of trying not to be a freak. If that is what I am to everyone, so be it. In the end, you only get one life. Live it your way.
lyrics
I have two parents
But they're not to blame
We have two opinions
But they're not the same
I'm domesticated
But I sure ain't tame
One thing's for certain
I'll never be tame
Never be tame
Never be tame
Never Ever
Trapped In Captivity
Trapped In Captivity
Trapped In Captivity
Captivity
I have nine lives
But, I'm losing count
And to what, I wonder
Will they all amount
I caste down my eyes
But, not in shame
One things for certain
I'll never be tame
Never be tame
Never be tame
Never Ever
